Joy of Love in Family
"The Gospel of life is at the centre of Jesus' message. Every day the Church must embrace it lovingly and proclaim it with strict fidelity as good news to the people of every age and every culture." (John Paul II, The Gospel of Life)
Let's take a look at the lines written by Khalil Gibran, a genius of world literature "One day you will ask me which is more important? My life or yours? I will say mine and you will walk away not knowing that you are my life." (Khalil Gibran)
The name Gibran is a unique name in world literature. What the above quoted words from the pen of this Lebanese poet are actually trying to say is the spirituality of deep love between spouses. But it is a well-known fact that time has proven that a person cannot fall in love with another person as deeply as this saying, or transform into that person.
This poetic imagination mixed with romanticism reminds us of something else. That magic of 'you are my life' that transforms one person into another is in every mother who carries babies. By simply meditating on motherly love, reading Gibran's lyrics in memory of a mother's sacrifice becomes more meaningful. It is true that one day every child realises that the most precious thing to every mother is the life of the baby beating inside her. In recent days, a glimpse of such a selfless life of a mother, Sapna Tracey has been released as a book called 'Amma Malakha'. A good book that everyone is a must read (Published by: Loaf, Carmel International). Her sacrifice was for the eighth child at the age of forty-three. A mother is offering her own life as a sacrifice to God. Smiling at the cancer that is about to devour her. That grain of wheat fell to the ground and gave another life to the world. During the book release, it was possible to realise how precious the bright memory of that mother is to the children she gave birth to and to her life partner.
We live in a time where love and motherhood are compromised. The lives of some Mother Angels are unfolding before us to touch the generation that will end up living as Cains cursed on earth with their mouths split open to drink their brother's blood.
We have an obligation to hold on to the value of life, share and proclaim to other nations and generations. This reality, which St. John Paul II reminds the world in his encyclical, The Gospel of Life, is something that must be proclaimed from the towers. "To every person I make this urgent appeal in the name of God: Respect, protect, love and serve each and every human life. Only in this direction will you find justice, development, true freedom, peace and happiness.”
Let us not forget that the only way to heal the whole world is through the gospel of life.

Around us a culture is emerging here where animal life is considered more valuable than human life. This is also a dangerous trend. The legal systems that help to destroy the very man who is assigned to protect and care for the universe and all creatures must be changed. In this situation, India's March for Life is being held in Thrissur, known as the cultural capital of Kerala, demanding the repeal of the MTP Act with the message that life should be protected and the right to birth and life should not be denied to anyone. It is believed that the evil influence of forced abortion is the root cause of all social evils and family disturbances seen today. Abortion, murder, suicide, genocide, suicide, alcohol, drugs, war, environmental pollution, destruction of nature are all trends that destroy life.
The March for Life calls for a culture of life by defending against all threats to life. Together we can mobilise for the culture of that new life.

" And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being. 6 “Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind."
-- Genesis 9 : 5-6 --' Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man put asunder. (Mathew 19:6)
What you have read above is the important passage in the Gospel reading of the Sacrament of Marriage. You may wonder what this word has to do with life. Indeed, there is an inextricable connection between them. Between 20 crore to 30 crore sperm are produced by the man when he and the woman engage in sexual intercourse with mutual love. But only a sperm from it unites with the egg of the woman to form life. What is this but what God has put together? Man has no right to separate it. Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man put asunder.

"God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
